Octavia Jewellery is a British, bespoke jewellery brand, creating unique and timeless pieces that tell a story, working with some of the finest craftsmen and stone dealers in the UK. Octavia transforms ideas into beautifully hand crafted, treasured pieces that will last generations.
With a rich experience in the jewellery industry, Octavia focused on honing her passion to become GIA qualified, and is a Freeman of the Goldsmiths’ Company. She worked for many years for renowned names in both London and New York, before launching Octavia Jewellery in 2018.
Whether sourcing an exquisite diamond, a sea of coloured gems, or working with a beloved family stone, Octavia’s process starts with the stones and the design grows from there. Commissions range from engagement rings and wedding jewellery to breathing new life into little-worn, family heirlooms to create something more suited to the current owner whilst retaining the sentimentality.
Octavia understands the importance of trust and loves working closely with her clients. She takes time to understand exactly what they would like to achieve, making the process as seamless and enjoyable as possible. Her clients value her ability to strike a delicate balance between classic and contemporary designs to create unique, meaningful and most importantly, wearable pieces.
Trust is the underpinning of every bespoke piece made by Octavia. Octavia takes time to understand what it is her customer is looking to achieve, even if at the beginning they are unsure what that looks like exactly. Clients are advised to bring ideas and images to their first meeting, and with as much contribution as they would like, she develops these ideas into beautiful pieces of jewellery.
Following the initial meeting, Octavia will create a storyboard to guide the design process, which starts by choosing the stones, sourced from expert, UK based stone dealers. Clients are able to view as many stones as needed until the ‘one’ is found, which agrees with their vision and their budget. Once the design sketches are finalised, the piece begins to be handmade in the workshop. Once the basic metal framework is complete, if it won’t spoil a surprise, the recipient can try the piece on at this stage, to make sure the size and fit is perfect. Once the stones are placed in the chosen setting, the finished piece is hand-delivered, ready to be worn.
